(And if you have created some nice things, think about sharing them, too!)
Usage
Either start to browse a DTDB from the given list of volumes, or open a document (either by using Open from the menu or by dragging a file onto the app) in order to view all applications that are registered in the DTDB for that creator.
The Bless button in the Creator List window does the same as Save A BNDL: It removes all listed applications from the Desktop Databases and then asks the Finder only to update the DTDB with the selected app from the list (but only from local volumes, not from server volumes!). This ensures that whenever you open a document, only this one application will be launched until you either rebuild the Desktop Database or you create or install new copies of the application again.
The Reveal button reveals the selected items in the Finder.
Known problems
• When launched, an 30 days expire warning comes up. This is a limitation of the currently used REALbasic prerelease version 2. Should be fixed before end of April 99 with an update on my web page (see below).
• List building can't be interrupted with Cmd-period, although it should. Seems to be caused by RB. Wait for an update.
• Bless might not work properly if one of the volumes is locked.
• Does not work on Systems before 7.1
